“Aleta is a graduate of ACS-OC’s Naturalist program<\/a> who spends her summers in Juneau, Alaska working as a Guide for Gastineau Guiding<\/a>, one of the most highly-rated nature tourism companies in Alaska!”<\/span><\/p>\n

ACS-Orange County hosts monthly meetings as part of its public education mission. \u00a0Most meetings feature a guest speaker\u00a0 on a subject of interest to our members and friends. \u00a0Most of the topics relate to cetaceans (of course), but we also invite\u00a0speakers on other topics related to the ocean environment, such as the harbor seal rookery in La Jolla, the effort to save sea turtles in Mexico and other regions, climate change, cetacean captivity,\u00a0underwater noise, and eco-travel reports.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meetings are held January through October on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Costa Mesa Neighborhood and Community Center, 1845 Park Avenue in Costa Mesa. \u00a0Upcoming meetings are also announced as events on our\u00a0<\/span>Facebook page<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
